ZERO-TO-100 LEGO CURRICULUM
“First 100 Characters” Building-Block Roadmap 汉字百字筑基图
Don’t memorize random strokes. Master 40 primitive pictographs first (Tiers 1–2), then snap them together like LEGO bricks into logical compounds (Tier 3), sound families (Tier 4), and real sentences (Tier 5).
Stage 3: Logical Compounds
会意合体 · #41–601 + 1 = Meaning! Combine Tier 1 & 2 roots into intuitive visual stories
Because you already learned 日 (sun), 月 (moon), 人 (person), and 木 (tree) in Tiers 1–2, every character in Tier 3 requires zero new stroke shapes—just combine two pictures you already know!
“bright; clear; tomorrow”
The sun (日) and the moon (月) shining side-by-side—the two brightest lights in the sky combine to mean bright, clear, or the next day.
艹 (grass) + 明 (bright) = sprout / cute
Core building block (#5): sun; day; date
Core building block (#6): moon; month
“tomorrow”
“clear / to understand”
